1. PLEASE-support for wav gsm 6.10 codec.. Cannot access our vm attacments that are emailed OR via web as maemo or fennec browsers cannot open file either.
Many VOIPs use this old standard like ringcentral.com etc. they do not offer mp3 format like many others.

2. No Logmein.com support yet for N900 and support say they have no plans yes so cannot access my remote xp desktop. VNC work but like logmein.

3. Ability to edit word excel and pdf docs like on my dash. Why didn't DataViz do a premium version for this beauty.

4. Native MMS already. this is still popular feature in the states. using FMMS in meantime but really miss contact integration.

5. N900 does not read outlook ext # field so is says invalid number. workaround for now was to remove X and just ram # at end a glance before you dial to see it.

6..Did I mention more wav support.

7. bluetooth keyboard support missing is nuts for such a mini
computer. I have enabled HID in config can pair but no input ever occurs. will try chinook from threads to see if this works.

its slow, laggy, and slow. Unacceptable.

Also

- Support for Skype Video Calls
- Support for Adobe Air Apps

Would be nice as well . . . . .

PS - I understand that Individual Apps have to app support for Portrait Mode on thier own but that is NO excuse for the native apps like conversations and the desktop os!?!?

I would like the ability to choose where I want the portait mode. I'd like to be able to sent sms that way, I'd like to call that way. That's it. The n900 is too good in landscape for me to want it to flip to portait each time i wobble it a little.

Java (J2RE / J2ME) to expand the app capability of the device. eg Opera Mini

Persistent web cache in the web browser available after the browser has been closed and restarted, so regular pages don't take up unnecessary bandwidth downloading images again. Useful for people on a limited bandwidth mobile tarriff.

Quick option in web browser to enable / cache / disable images.

Theme Edior / manager to allow easier changes to system icons, colour schemes and fonts/font sizes. this is especially useful in relation to apps which need a smaller font to make better use of the desktop space (ftp / irc). Maybe even allow changes to the size of the window title bars allowing for scalable icons

Portrait mode optional. I know some apps are hard coded as portrait, but system views could be supported. Only issue i could see is that each desktop would need another layout saved for the position of the widgets in portrait mode

The purpose of theme edting and portrait mode is to let people optimise their experience. For example switch between primarily one-handed with thumb operation if they are on the move (larger icons / fonts) and two-handed / desktop operation with stylus (smaller fonts / icons). Or through TVOut (even smaller fonts / icons / windows).
All of this to customise the experience based on what they are doing and what the needs are at time, all of which could be achieved through customisable themes on the device.
Three main layouts for casual / non-power users, but all customisable for power users to save as separate themes.

I would see a swipe for action when the device unlocks itself in my pocket.
