They should run fine, albeit slowly. Just makw sure you have the bios file in your rom folder, neogeo.zip.

Yoiu dont need bios files for bubble bobble to work you may need to get the correct roms.

Although bios will help with some games

just type in google mame bios and search for a site you trust.

Is there still a way to adjust frame skipping? The previous version that was SDLMAME you could adjust with the volume control. This puppy appears to be running with full frames. Love the options it has, but FPS adjust would be sweet.

BTW, it is funny how different MAME versions are picky with games:

On Android (G1), most Neo Geo, CPS 2 and Cave games play smooth- even Metal Slug games, but this MAME on the N900 plays other games better and is a true MAME emulator, rather than a chop down like on Android (Andriod versions are older MAME 0.34/35b along with CPS2 and Cave shooter games).

The positive for me is that the combination of both devices (G1 & N900) provides a near complete MAME experience and this N900 version should eventually be better than the Android one (for Neo Geo, CPS 2, etc), since plays a LOT more games.

You can set the button for that in the keybinding options.

What I would like is a way to change the default frameskip. I hate having it begin at skipping 10fps! I personally prefer 2 or even 1, and never play a game over 4.

Flandry, it there a way to change the default setting for frameskiping?

@Flandry

In the main mame folder on the phone there is a 36mb mame file is it a standard exe file?.

The reason i ask is i would like to use an older mame.exe file if at all poss lets say mame 0.121.

Would it work?
