Nope, white screen come when they decide you have to turn on your tv (not your computer) to increase the tv dependence of our population. Things got this way since the Olympics started. Italians can't get the streams, too, unless they use the www.rai.tv portal which works only with M$ Silverlight (Moonlight doesn't work).
But at other times of the day the streams are ok.
Somebody from abroad should test if they are geographically blocked, and if connecting through an Italian proxy fixes that.

I am working on the next next update of WorldTV99.

Versions:
1) News + nature, the original
2) Entertainment, the one you are using now
3) Food and health (coming very soon... ) and a new GUI...
4) kid

There will be 12 kids channel, they have more than just cartoons, they are like the Saturday TV programs, have cartoons, shows, kid reporter etc.

Enjoy, after the next update then the next update, i.e., the next next update

Bit of a problem. I have just flashed to latest firmware 3.2010.02-8.
Kmplayer would not install as it was missing dependancies. Ok I thought and set about hunting down xsltproc for freemantle.
It has been deleted and replaced by a Diablo version by Niels Breet.
http://maemo.org/packages/view/xsltproc/
This version is incompatable. Any chance you have a copy?

Odd, you find it here http://repository.maemo.org/pool/fre.../libx/libxslt/

Update; repo http://repository.maemo.org fremantle free non-free should be enabled by default. You may verify that

Cheers Koos missed that one. Spent the last 10 mins back treeing dependancies from each other. Eventually got it installed only missing one dependancy using dpkg -f. Lets see how it works.
Just 3 more applications to sort out now after reflash and im done

Can't wait for the Worldtv99 update with all the Turkish channels...

I was thinking of some kind of system where the channel list is updated independetly from the program istelf. We could have some kind of wiki page where people can add/vote for channels so the list is always up to date...

A BRAND new update for N900 is out (or should be out in a couple of hours?). It has been totally revamped, please see 1st page for details.

Enjoy,

Shouldn't Kmplayer be set as dependency to avoid this situation?
KMPlayer is now a dependent, automagically installed. Thanks for pointing out the oversight.
