Ok so I have been thinking on what steps are needed to actually get this thing in such a condition that it would be ready for public use, and thus pass the testing QA.

1. When a new comic is added it should open the latest comic. (It now uses a preset id as a starting point)

2. Option to adjust size from the configuration menu

3. Not make hildon-home unusable while loading comics.

4. Cyanide and Happiness alpha bug fixed.

Steps 1 and 2 are straight forward programming. Step 3 might be a little more difficult, but I have some ideas. Step 4 should also be rather straight forward.

Is there anything else you find that is essential for this widget to be useable. I'm not talking about extra features, but stuff you see as "broken" ?

(Speaking of broken, matinmaailma has closed, so viivi & wagner and calvin & hobbes do not work anymore :/ )

Not necessary, but an option to add comics yourself?

Adding comics need some minor programming skills and cannot be really be automated, but since it's python, all you have to do is modify the code.
I could do a howto for those who want to try, but first I want to fix the stuff that is broken.

Would really appreciate the how to add comics at some point. Other than that:

And something that I still would find really useful is a button that lets you jump to first comic. Like lets say I want to read Sinfest from the beginning, and it's now in comic 3000 or something. Bit too much work to hit the back button 3000 times :P
Even more awesome would be to be able to type the number of the comic so it would jump to that, but as different comics use different numbering, I'm guessing that's impossible?

Also not sure if possible, but in the comics list could you have the sorting so that the ones picked would be at the top of the list? Or well that's just my preference, what do you others think?

I'm also guessing it's impossible to make the browser mode open faster when clicking on a comic? Now it takes couple of seconds to open. Again a fullscreen app might be nicer than using a browser, as you could add functions to read next strip and so on. But don't wanna push my luck :P

Not really, I am working on it but I ran into some problems that I haven't been able to solve yet. I can send the current version to garage if you want to use it.

I have just discovered this app. What improvements are in your latest version? It loads XKCD on comic 665 and it would take hours to forward it to the newest comic at the rate it goes!

the plan is to make the widget start from the latest comic the first time you start it, but that is not yet working. the latest have a few new comics and the up-to-date babyblues comic.

Loving the double click feature btw. Very handy! Would be nice if there was someway to skip to the very first or last comic rather than having to click through them all as it takes a long time.
