Hi,
I have an applet named Simple FMTX that I would like to put in one of the slots. But it does not show up on the list of appz? Any ideas how to bring it in?

Quick Launch only allows you to put application shortcuts into the status menu, not other desktop widgets.

I don't know much about it myself, but I know other people (like YoDude) have been looking into it so you may want to do a search.

Basically what I think they did was they created a script and created a .desktop file for it (to get it to show up in the application menu).

Yes, creating a .desktop file would be sufficient to get the app/widget listed and then insert it in a quick-launch slot.

Would that mean this could be done to get more shown on the desktop or onto the quick launch??

Where are the .widget files or whatever they are called?

this has been already suggested but it would be quite handy to have second row of items(numers) where you can speeddial to selected people. power menu is always accesible with single click so that would mean two clicks to call anywhere on phone can't beat that
