i first tried with the file manager that comes with pc suite, didn't work it gave an installation error, so i used xterminal to rename hexen to .hexen it gave then user space directory error.

i hope this cleared my error out.

Remember guys to run hexen2 via terminal to know what error you are getting.

Hey, does anyone know if I can play heretic II using this engine? I know it uses quake II engine ( heretic II ), so, if not here, it`s quite possible to use it under the quake II port of maemo right?

Edit.: Ok, I see it was a stupid question, it`s needed to port it to then run under quake 2 engine. I don't remember if this game is open source though.

Bumping this topic too (bumped Open Arena already). Is this engine dead too? I installed if,copied .pak files (I used MC to create directory starting with "." ), started it and... Nothing. Black window poped out, then closed itself.

By the way, how you can run game via xterm? I'd like to see what's the problem.

Are you sure you copied your files to MyDocs/.hexen2/data1? That directory should already be there after you install Hexen 2 so if you created it yourself your datafiles are probably in a wrong place. And if you want to run Hexen 2 from xterm just type hexen2.

It gives mi fatal error:

"you must patch your installation with raven's 111 update"

How can I update .pak files? o_O Can some1 please give me a hint, or "how to" on that?
