Maybe off-topic, but is there a limit on the size of icons you can use on the desktop? If I try to use icons more than 64x64 size, they get cropped on the sides when used as shortcut on the desktop.

Is there a workaround to have icons of say 96x96 size on desktop?

is the music player background supposed to be brown? or is it cause i choose the coffee one?
coz currently i'm using blue but the musicplayer is still brown..
and if the theme is active and i change the colours, all my installed widgets disappear and if i add those widgets again, they come back in their original positions.. and this is only for installed widgets, not the buitin ones like ovi maps and musicplayer
and it would be kinda cool if the desktop wallpaper changes colour too.. *jus a suggestion*
and best theme yet (y)

I guess it is a bug. It will be fixed on monday or so! It's weekend and our developer deserve his time with family.

A quick solution: reinstall the theme, you can use the deb file (not needed to uninstall, or change the theme before) than set it blue or any colour you like, but not to coffee one! That should do the trick!

Cheers

Edit: Regarding the widgets disappearing it's not the theme fault! I think it's about another application who is using python hildon desktop package! That was the only package who made me reproduce the disappearing issue!

It's safe to use the coffee one also with the latest package. It won't change everything in brown with the current version (2.007). I'll redo the background stuff monday (already have a working solution for that).

Edit #2: Coffee variation IS still messing around the media player background :P Well, isn't this what devel is for; toying around and testing stuff.

And about disappearing widgets; I get that too with widgets written in Python, but it won't happen every time which is weird. I need to think how I'll solve that (should I return the old behaviour where you had to go and re-select the theme after setting colors?)...

Edit: maybe I'll do it like they do it in PC world; I'll make it absolutely necessary to reboot after changing settings (last dialog will ask you to restart with yes / cancell -option). That way I don't have to kill the hildon-home on the fly (which causes the python widgets to disappear). That would also make it very clear to end user that he must reboot to make all changes visible. Would you guys find that annoying or could it be kind of midway-sollution?

yea old one is good..
actually keep em both
first while installation and other option in settings
atleast till the widget bug is solved
besides, i dun think its theme related, in pr1.1.1, this used to happen to me alot... the exact replica of the situation would be that sometimes, when i added a new widget, the system would be busy or soemthing leading to the widgets disappearing..
i was kinda new to it so i didnt investigate much

Good morning! Version 2.008 is uploaded to extras-devel. Changes are.
- fixed the coffee variation background hasling, it works now and that variation is safe to use
- changed the setup script behaviour; after selecting variation it asks you if you want to reboot or not to apply changes (no more disappearing python widgets!)
- setup script is now launced at the end of installing / upgrading the theme

And bumbing rightaway ver 2.009 up repos. I noticed that I probably should not display reboot -option when running the setup wizard during upgrade / installation so that part is now skipped in that situation.

Reboot -option is still offered when launching the wizard afterwards from the settings -application.

Something about this most recent version doesn't seem to play nice with wallpapers. even after multiple restarts, no matter what wallpaper I choose, and no matter what theme I switch to, I only ever see the default black plastic theme wallpaper now.

Looks like the battery icon is stuck too. Even if I change themes and restart, some of the elements are locked to their black plastic verision. My desktop icons do change normally when I choose other themes though.

I've uninstalled black plastic theme, and the battery icon went back to normal, but I still am completely unable to change my wallpaper.
