That's a good idea, let's see what can be done about it.

I've added that to my to-do list...

Version 0.3.2
* Possible to search from the beginning of the package names by starting the search with ':'
* Fixed: The package list jumps away from the last marked package
* Improved rendering of package descriptions

Oh, and also a KNOWN BUG: It's possible to get the package view stuck in portrait mode. Since there are already some kludgy workarounds involved (Qt autorotation is buggy) I guess it's a wontfix until a new version of Qt becomes available. Pressing ctrl-shift-r (or returning to main menu) helps.

Is it possible to add a little more detailed information about installation/update progress? Now it says just something like "downloading/installing X apps" but I would like it to show information more like apt-get does, like which package it's downloading/installing at the moment and perhaps even the progress %. Otherwise very great app!

Can you add an option to disable auto-rotation? I find it very annoying.

Yeah, I'm planning to do that. If I can make it work.

Could you please add sorting?

Sort Alphabetically
Sort By Date (newest first)
Sort by Size (Largest first)

Sorting is the most I miss from the default Application Manager.

Thanks and great work so far.

What will happen if FAppMan finds an update for itself and wants to install it? Is it safe to do it?
And how can I upgrade all packages without selecting every package manually and does it also show the "invisible" upgradeable packages which are only shown when you do a "apt-get upgrade" in the X-Terminal?
Is it possible to also show the changelog of a package (if available)?
Thanks

It's in Extras-devel so basically it's not safe to update. Anyways, to answer the real question, it seems to work fine, at least for me.

As far as I can tell you can't do that yet on fapman?

I'm just guessing here but I guess that's up to the developer of chosen app to do. fapman doesn't tell us the changelog nor does the original Application Manager. Those are (again, as far as I know) up to the developer of the app.

Well, packages have changelogs on-site, so in theory an option could be added.

IMO, mighty useful.
