What is "Got a deauthentication Packet!" ? I keep getting:
Association successfuly :-) (AID: 1).
Then deauth packet...
(on a side note - Can this be traced back to phone? Mostly the packet injection)
Hi - thanks for a GUI. Will this also work without the "Bleeding-edge packet injection drivers by lxp" ? To install der Driver is a little bit a big action.
On that note, have you thought about adding a [random] button on the left side of the MAC field?
The only problem i got is that for some reason some files disappeared from MyDocs directory.. and now the monitor mode no longer works, I think Ill flash the phone and see what happens..
The new icon is great, perhaps I can work on another icon for future releases, I use photoshop a quite often. =D
No you're right, my key is 19742 which is (3139373432) in Hex, my bad.
to FRuMMaGe: is it possible to make it show as ASCII in the first place?
Cool...tried to instal using .deb in post 56 but give issue saying im missing iw
Any ideas, sorry im sure ive missing a post on this
A question for all users who have experience:
To me it seems it's virtually impossible to crack WPA/WPA2 IF we do not have the password in a bruteforce dictionary?
i.e: MY password is not a word and it includes numbers..
It would be near impossible to attack/gain access?
ahh wait, found hte link to the drivers named iw.tar.bz2 so i assume that them.
What folder do they go into, just N900 root ?

What are you installing??
Simplified steps:
1: sudo apt-get install aircrack-ng
2: cd /MyDocs
3: mkdir FAS
4: Download the faircrack and hildon from post #1.
5: xterm: cd MyDocs/FAS
6: dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/faircrack.tar.gz
That is it. Done.
You will need to get and install wl1 drivers.
Edit:

I think I should stick to WEP and forget WPA I think..

When I saw an error message saying iw was missing on my N900 (while using airmon), like you I found and installed iw to see if that would fix it - but then discovered that installing iw uninstalls a program from the aircrack-ng suite.
So imho don't install iw - the error message may just be a regrettable aftereffect of having aircrack suite installed.
The 'bleeding edge wifi' drivers you do want at this stage were announced here.
Useful steps to get everything all working together can be found here.
If the situation is different on your N900 and you do opt to try reinstalling iw, it's probably better to go through the Maemo application manager than to use a tar file. First, make sure the 'maemo-extras' software sources are available as detailed here, because you need extras-devel available to install this. Then, entering
should get it back on your system.Code:sudo apt-get install iw
