I'm sure I'm not alone in still wondering when any retail organisation will be selling the N9 in North America (north of the Rio Grande, anyway) 
Starting to wonder if expansys in either Canada or the US will ever change from pre-order to anything more hopeful.

I suspect it won't happen till you see far more widespread availability in destination countries.
Only then will it start to trickle to non-destination countries. So we could be looking at Dec?

N9 launching tomorrow in Mauritius. Limited stock.
64GB - MUR 26,979 - around $946 or 700€ or £613.
As a comparison, the iPhone 4 16/32GB is sold for $982/$1157.
... & I still don't have my N9 (from the contest).

At least you can drive/walk to a shop and see an N9.

In your case i wouldn't even bother getting the n9. But I resisted buying the galaxy 2 for some time now and am sick of waiting (Lost my n900, currently using a dumbphone (um sorry, old s60 handset)).
