after enabling root I used "cp /usr /home/user/MyDocs" to copy the file to home so that I could be able to put it back if needed.

MyDocs is the root directory you can see/access when connected via Mass Storage. It is NOT the Documents folder.

Backing up the whole /usr/ folder is not necessary. Not all files are changed. Currently only 37 files are changed, out of the hundreds maybe thousands in the whole /usr/ folder.
Regarding the rotating transition being not very smooth, I agree. I continue to work on this and will look into that.

So, MyDocs is that folder which automatically runs when I connect N9 with computer via USB (Phone Memory)?
