edit to explain myself: I've worked with embedded systems and low power budgets myself, so I know what a difference this kind of thing can make - I'm definitely not questioning it. I was only curious to find out the magnitude of the difference in terms of power consumed on my device and usage, since mine and others' practical observations supported the fact that it made a huge difference especially in the idle state.
FWIW, my phone has now been off the charger for 12 hours, and it still reports a 55% charge. The Jolla sailors have done great work.
