edit to explain myself: I've worked with embedded systems and low power budgets myself, so I know what a difference this kind of thing can make - I'm definitely not questioning it. I was only curious to find out the magnitude of the difference in terms of power consumed on my device and usage, since mine and others' practical observations supported the fact that it made a huge difference especially in the idle state.

FWIW, my phone has now been off the charger for 12 hours, and it still reports a 55% charge. The Jolla sailors have done great work.

From 100% at 6pm yesterday my battery is still at 86% at 7 pm in the morning , no flight mode enabled on Wifi but no SIM card either.

10% battery was gone from surfing and some Yatse XBMC remote controlling of music system,

Seems the Android system is behaving its self if left iddle. Somehow I was suspecting this to be the battery leech

Overall a ridiculous improvement of an estimated 40% .

and another update: during the night my jolla lost about 1% in 10h so after 20h away from the charger it's at 55% now.

I've tested the fix that night. In airplane mode, without any connection, my jolla lost 2% in 10h (whereas it lost 30% usually)

There is a new app installed after you enable developer mode called Terminal, use that.

definitivly great battery improve just wonder if it would be possible make a fix for endusers and upload on harbour until jolla hotfix in january?

or make as simple guide for endusers and post not only on tmo also jollausers. current newsflash on jollausers righ now probadly confuse endusers. removing oth does not solve problem.
