@marmistrz: Can you write list of system packages which MeeCoLay needs to update? I'm asking because it could be better to have them in CSSU (if it is possible and no regression). It is better to use central Maemo Extras (-devel/testing) repositories, but system packages cannot be pushed here (for obvious reeason). So CSSU can be solution.

@marmistr: And I want to run Trojita QML email client from harmattan: http://jkt.flaska.net/n950/ because there is really no working email client for n900.

@all: Has somebody tried to run Trojita (harmattan QML version) on n900M

Now I installed meecolay from extras-devel and trojita-tp from above link.

Then I tried to start trojita-tp but it shown me this error:

Code:
$ meecolay /opt/trojita-tp/bin/trojita-tp
Looking for assets in "/opt/share/themes/base"
Looking for assets in "/opt/share/themes/blanco"
file:///opt/trojita-tp/qml/trojita/main.qml:25:1: module "com.nokia.extras" version 1.1 is not installed
     import com.nokia.extras 1.1
     ^
What to do?

EDIT: Found it http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=89116

But now it segfaults.

A quick list of what lacks now. Guess that CSSU with 'Maemo Reloaded' gives the best prospects

qt 4.7.4 for autobuilder - for libmeegotouch 0.26

newer libc6, libpcre3 8.x (built, not testes 'nuff) - for timed and qmsystem2

tracker - requires glib 2.28 and should greatly improve the system performance. - for qtsparql and share-ui, transfer-ui, accounts-ui

libx11, libxi6, libxau6 and the whole family - for games like (first example off my head) Icy Tower. Plus it might improve the overall system performance.

Qt Mobility 1.2 system wide would be useful for libcontentaction - I didn't find a way to reuse qtm12. And qtm 1.2 system-wide would fix some of the runtime errors (no need for LD_PRELOAD)

debhelper 8 - for some lib, iirc for libquill

Something in Fremantle is messed up and in Nemo isn't - meegotouch has problems on Fremantle (take mtermite as a non-complicated example or meecast for Harmattan which uses only MGonf iirc.)
The meegotouch examples work though... And some apps mysteriously segfault in 0x0000000. (And all/most Harmattan apps can be run in Nemo). So it's Fremantle-specific

meegotouchtheme-graphics (needed for libmeegotouch) break qt-components-10. (Icons are totally borked) I'd need some feedback from Qt Components developer, and inean was there half a year ago.

libdsme0.2.0-meecolay could be merged into libdsme, but it doesn't replace our dsme cleanly. But I have no idea whether newer dsme in /opt/meecolay breaks any Harmattan apps or not.

About the segfault: try to gdb it and tell me the result

/edit: and sqlite3 >= 3.7 is required for accounts stuff. And if accounts should be in extras, I'd need it for building

Important notice for all meecolay users - you might have this installed: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...13&postcount=1

How to check:
Code:
apt-cache policy libicu48

Announce!

I'm opening access to the components of the private repository.
meegotouchtheme and meegotouchtheme-graphics go first!
These are already uploaded to extras-devel.

Thanks for this opening

However, with the previous version (0.23 something), the GUI of both forum-qml and ttrss were fitting perfectly within the screen of my N900.
Now, with this new version, the top and bottom of the GUIs are half off the screen, which make it really difficult to interact with the buttons placed there.
Some orange backgrounds also seem to have disappeared, and therefore some buttons are invisible (white on white or black on black I guess)

I'm not 100% sure it is related to this since when I installed the new version, apt complained and I had to completely remove meecolay and its dependencies and then reinstall everything. So the "correct" GUI display may have been an artefact of my 'not so clean' previous installation.

@pierrem: You're talking about the version of forum-qml or what?
@seanmcken: Install the libraries apt-get wants to install and remove wazapp at the same time, install wazapp again and tell me what's missing. But don't waste your time with wazapp - it needs proper accounts-ui which is missing (too old tracker/saving stuff in tracker is idiocy/no one has time or will to rewrite the storage/etc.)
I might take a go with the accounts someday, but the browser replacement has a higher priority for me, and I have not nuff free time to work on it on my own
@all: As the ppl out there guessed, the support is donor-only no more You read my mind

I was talking about the previous version of meegotouchtheme ( 0.23.3~2) installed before updating to this 0.26 version.
But I've just downgraded to this previous version, and the effects described above are still there. So that must be caused by something else. Recently I've removed some theme files that did not belong to any packages, so that must be the explanation
Now I don't know how to find those files again ...

But anyway, except if I have something wrong in my installed packages, it remains that GUI issues are still there: top and bottom of the app are half off screen (like the battery and wifi icons), and the background of some GUI elements are transparent.
