Not quite.. that particular package (python-gst0.10) is not in the Harmattan repo's so there's no way for pyRadio to pull it down as a dependency. So that one will still need to be installed manually.

I could probably put in something in the preinst script that will download it and install it along with python-central, but then if the python-gst0.10 every *does* get loaded into the harmattan repos or if that website goes down it would be problamatic for my package .

Does anybody know where to submit packages for harmattan?

i did install the package from the link, but still have the problem.

also, noticed that the command to run it is not

Code:
/opt/pyradio/pyradio.py

but

Code:
/opt/pyRadio/pyRadio.py

i have uninstalled all the packages and reinstalled to try again, and it is the same package error "No module named pygst. :/

That error is because it can't find python-gst0.10. So something went wrong with your install.

Please double check that you have python-central:
apt-get install python-central

And that you download this package and install it:
http://sheeplauncher.net/debs/python...b0m6_armel.deb

There are quite a few folks asking this question.
The official repos is mentioned here:
http://wiki.meego.com/N950_landing_p...t_Repositories

But I don't see how to submit additions to it.

Some unofficial repos are up from individual devs as seen here:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...harmattan+repo

and here:
https://build.pub.meego.com/project/...zr%3Aharmattan

But I haven't yet found any that I feel confident in adding to my N9.

Not to be a stickler but downloading random deb's from the internet and installing those isn't a much better practice than adding a repo .

You got me there. I was more worried that apt-get updates for my existing good repos would be messed up if I added a flaky dev repo.

Besides, so far the only random deb I've downloaded from the internet is yours and that hasn't worked out so bad.

The only thing I'm seeing is you can use the MeeGo OBS .. but it still creates a 'new' repository people would have to add like:
deb http://repo.pub.meego.com/home:/jaffa/Harmattan/ ./

Plus.. I think MeeGo.com is probably dead isn't it?

Is there really no way to publish packages for Harmattan except through the OVI store? That's just sad.

Code:
Aegis rejecting python-gst0.10._0.10.21-maemo1+0m6_armel.deb: Could not open debian archive aegis aborting dpkg -- all listed package files rejected

I didn't have this problem installing that python-gst deb file on my N9.

Can you copy and paste to us the entire terminal output, starting with your dpkg -i command and everything that follows through to the Aegis rejection message?
