They do have an API that devs can use, or so I read. The Accuweather app is horrible compared to meecast. Nightmarish.

Any chance of having accuweather yet? For people in New Zealand it provides far better coverage than what is currently available.

Cool, if that's all that's causing remaining issues when using BOM as source, then I'll contact them & ask if they can also use XML for Qld.
It is a government department (& a Qld one at that) so there may be some resistance, but I'll see what they say.
Subject: Why is Qld's data format different to all other states/territories?
There's a weather app that uses bom.gov.au as a source, it has few problems with all states/territories, except Qld.
The reason for the problem seems to be that Qld's data is available here in HTML format, not XML like the other states:
ftp://ftp.bom.gov.au/anon/gen/fwo/
Can this please be made consistent between all states and territories?
Thank-you.
symbian belle fp2 phones need app like this! please port it to symbian

it is up to the company supplying the app to select the source
and format of their data which that are using and providing. You
should try to contact the app owner and pass on your concerns to
them. Unfortunately, you have not given us any details of the app
or the type of data that you are trying to view, or the method that
you are using to view the app, so we can't comment on any specifics
in relation to your message.
Regards,
