@ tonyhuynh, I didn't try the script myself, but you could try "print" or "printf" instead of "echo" in the last line.
Did you run chmod +x?
Sorry, that's the only things I could think of right now.
@coderus: as far as I know "sh" is not required before path/to/script, only develsh for scripts that need admin rights.

As for Billboard Lite 1.0.0 - it can display {compact date}, {full date}, {battery percent}, {battery bar} (from inserts + presets) and as much free form text as fits the screen.
No colors, text size, font family, text allignment or scripts available.
Just installed it on a virgin N9 I'm gifting to a friend as a birthday present. When he unpacks it tomorrow, it will now welcome him with some congratulations. Nice.

It works now!Tks! after doing same as your and coderus's guides. Looks like it still not work with .py file. What procedures do I need to do with .py file?

Which python scripts not working? all?
Some scripts have dependencies, eg
battery_remaining.py needs python-qmsystem
used traffic needs python-gconf
alarm.py and bluetooth.py need python-dbus

I installed python-gconf and tried to make the used_traffic.py (put in /home/user/scripts) to be exceutable but error: "Operation not permitted"

My command was: chmod +x /home/user/scripts/used_traffic.py

Pls help show me possible error.

^ That sounds you did it as root... you need to be user instead.

You are right! I am remined third time of this! However, BB cannot work with this used_traffic.py while it still works with day_of_year.py. I will try with some other files..

Some files not work like used_traffic.py (gprs_usage.py) or profilematic_active_rules.py. Do you think it because my device not yet encoded "htf-8". So what can I do?

Hi, utf-8 encoding doesn't have anything to do with the above python scripts not working. gprs_usage.py doesn't output any special characters and profilematic_active_rules.py encodes everything it outputs to utf-8 (which is what BB expects).

Let's try this from the command line first:

write as user:

Where /path/to is the correct path to the script.

Paste the output here for both scripts and we'll know exactly what is going on.

Ok, I've been using Billboard 1.0.8 for a coupe of days now and I've found this issues:
*The definitions get lost after a power off/reboot/power saving mode on which is incredible frustrating because I have to set up everything again.
*The events are not updated correctly from calendar, I have several meetings and not all are showed with the events or events-today tags.
*The events appear on the events tag when they are for today so the events-today tag is not working properly.

How can I solve this issues, anyone has an idea?

I've already removed the app and re-installed it.
