Look, I am sorry if this has been confirmed already but I am not following every post on this thread.
Since I was the one to start the expectation that Samsung was using a PDMI standard adapter on the Tab then it behoves me to update with the information that it probably isn’t.

Personally I feel that this is a bummer as I was hoping that PDMI would become generally accepted and break the monopoly that Apple has on all those groovy docks and stands.

Regarding the browser scrolling issue (it's actually a reported bug -- people are not happy!), opera mobile plans to correct this with GPU acceleration!

Based on the post, we should be seeing the first beta in around 2 weeks! It would be very nice to have silky smooth scrolling on the Tab.
I would prefer an open browser, but this will at least fill a want for me, and provide competition for other browsers (ahem stock Android browser) to step up their respective games!

What's interesting is that the reviewer is an iPad owner and advocate and in his analysis, gives the Tab the slight edge. Of course, the test is a little to shallow to be conclusive, but on the surface the two seem quite evenly matched to an objective peruser.

So it seems now Samsung is really pushing the tab - by setting up some content deals, so that users have something to use it for and consume some content on it. Much like the content deals that iPad came out with on launch.

The Reader hub interface is ****ing brilliant: it's a ultra simple app launcher, but it consolidates three completely disjoined services under one easy to use -- and understand -- interface that provides easy access to books, magazines, and newspapers. Additionally, the services are abstractified (if there's such a thing as design abstraction) under the interface, making it easy for Samsung to target local content providers without requiring change.
The Music Hub again, is not Samsung, but 7 Digital. Instead of Samsung trying to re-create the wheel, or compete with seasoned services, it included established services. Specialization at work.
The Media Hub is the weakest link. There seems to be a lot of content, but the app and interface seems rather bland. Here's hoping that it works better than it looks!
I suspect that Samsung will get a royalty for each item sold via the Tab, though this is speculation.
Simply by preloading the Tab with strategic software, the Tab is in a different league from other Android devices for casual users. Out of the box, the device will be useful and fun, and won't require finding hidden gems in the marketplace.
For seasoned users, tweakers, or hackers (the TMO crowd) this is obviously far less of a concern. Still as a citizen of the above designation, I still do appreciate a good out-of-the-box experience; perhaps this is why I heartily enjoy Ubuntu
