What was the original shipping estimate date on your 11/25 order?

man i dont know what to freaking believe any more. The supervisor guy left me a vm and an email on friday telling me my order "should" ship Dec 4th. I also had a couple of guys said they are expecting shipment in Dec 2nd. Now I am reading here that westcoast customers will get the shaft due to supply? How is this even possible when Nokiausa shows in stock? Shouldn't they be allocating their supply to all preorders regardless of vendor? I give it to friday if nothing happens im just cancel the whole stupid order and wait till next year for a diff phone or buy it some where else.

Well everyone, I had to contact Dell today to refund the purchase for the warranty when I originally purchased the N900 (Originally I purchased the device and a warranty, and a day later it was placed on sale, so to take advantage of the sale price I had to cancel my first order and place a new one). After taking care of the refund situation, they checked on the status of my order and informed me that their vendors stock would not be refilled until 30-Dec.-2009. Previously, I was informed that the vendors would refill their stock today (30-Nov.-2009). So, the waiting game continues . I just wanted to share what info I was provided, even though it pretty much the same ol' sad story.

BTW my expected delivery date is 1-Feb.-2010, and my current order was placed on 20-Nov.-2009 (I listed my info on the Google spreadsheet).

I agree- Nokiausa sale ends today i heard and i am seriously considering jumping ship and goign to Nokia. I sent my Dell guy thats handling my order an email asking him to verify if n900 is really being pushed back till end of Dec. He will let me know in a few when he finds out more.

I personally don't mind waiting a bit more. What I think is not reasonable is for them to start shipping to customers that ordered it after we did.

I got the exact same thing:

Thank you for contacting Dell Customer Care.

Dell records reflect that system order number 939245092 were placed on 11-05-09. The estimated delivery date as per update from our vendor, Nokia, your N900 UNLOCKED SMARTPHONE is estimated to be delivered 01/15/2010 due to a Pre-Sold Backlog. I do apologize for the delay in your order. I understand where you are coming from and we greatly appreciate your patience.

I think I may jump ship as well... Dell is just getting ridiculous

I've called Dell numerous times and I've heard so many different lies from them, so I just placed an order with Nokia. I spoke to a rep there and she said they had plenty of stock on hand. They have a 14 day return policy from the date of receipt of item, so if Dell happens to ship the phone and I receive it by the anticipated date of 12/10 then I'll just return the phone back to Nokia for a full refund (minus the $10 express shipping cost). At this point I really hate Dell and their clueless, lying customer care reps, so the $100 price difference doesn't even feel that bad. Plus I should definitely be able to take advantage of the $50 mail in rebate (which was questionable on my Dell order since the order date was 11/5).
