Phones like the SGS2, with HSDPA+ will support a theoretical max of 21Mbps.

Both run on Telstra's "NextG" Frequency @850mhz, however makes no real difference as Telstra throttle their network to give a real download speed between 500Kbps and around 3Mbps.
Phones like the SGS2, here in Australia will never really get to utilise their theoretical maximum speeds, as the Telco's will use bandwidth throttling to maintain network redundancy (and thus save money on investing in infrastructure upgrade works)

Whilst it seems like our friends across the water like to market HSDPA+ as "4G", do the Telco's there actually support this with real maximum speeds on the Frequencies they run on?
If not, HSDPA+ may not be of much use after all.
Some good points, thanks for sharing!!
I wonder if any of the other major networks are any different, probably not.
Just a correction, N9 HSDPA's max theoretical is 14Mbps.
And for SGSII, I think you mean HSPA+ (AFAIK there's no such thing as HSDPA+)

As bland as I expected, really.
Totally skirted around your question/s & our concerns about the N9.
Admittedly there's a host of questions that need to be asked, that weren't.
Personally think it's best left that way, unless we put them to some other senior person/s.
I knew he/they'd focus way more on the WP response.

If enough of you do it, maybe they'll work something out with Nokia?
Wishful thinking I guess

Why do you think Best Buy would have them? I don't understand how you would even have the slightest idea that that would happen.

Problems are:
1. It's going to be the most the most expensive N9 in the world.
2. Shipping costs to the US will be high and you'll probably going to have to pay some kind of import tax.
3. You won't get support from Nokia USA and Nokia Brasil won't ship it back to the US after a repair.
4. It seems that the first batch of N9's is not going to be available before the end of october (for those who somehow manage to unofficially pre-preorder their N9's now).
5. The first batch will only have the black 16 Gb N9, apparently.
I wonder why Brazil's being shafted so badly, tis potentially a big market.
It's def. ramping-up in shops in Australia & EU countries.
Were still not hearing much from folks in Asian countries yet.

On the off chance that they saw some kind of demand for it, dunno.
I did qualify my stament with "wishful thinking".....

Since Best Buy tracks all shipments online live, you could just go to bestbuy.com and search for Nokia N9. I already did it... they don't even CARRY it, nevermind stock it. heh I've bought a LOT from Best Buy online and in the stores. (One time, online ON THE WAY to the store using my Galaxy Tab to buy a new laptop before I even arrived at the store. BOOM... paid and done.) Inventory is tracked wonderfully on their site.

All that said, if they don't even list it, they won't have it at all anywhere.
