I just went through the wiki and saw that Sakya advices not to mess with the default configuration! He wants to keep the default lockscreen functioning right if all else fails probably.
So what I would do is copy the default folder and .ini and rename them to, say, mylockscreen.
Paste them in /opt/qtlockscreen
edit the .ini and replace all "default" to "mylockscreen" in the paths
then change the background image to the one you like
that should do it
~ $ cd /opt/qtlockscreen /opt/qtlockscreen $ mkdir tajasel mkdir: cannot create directory 'tajasel': Permission denied

Hi zifis, you really create incredible things! Thanks!
Would it be possible for you to upload some of these again as they aren't available on hotfile anymore?
I'm most interested in the man_of_steel lockscreen you posted on page 73 of this topic. Maybe you could add them to the repository ( http://wiki.maemo.org/QtLockscreen#U..._to_Repository ) for easy access?
Thanks!

It's no good knowing how to choose a new lockscreen when you can't get the lockscreen to look the way you want... all I'm trying to do is change the wallpaper of it.
I eventually tried doing it as sudo, but as I don't know the default sudo password, I hit a brick wall there too. And when I tried to get root, the terminal returned something about breaking the device - not exactly encouraging!
I'm getting quite frustrated now
