Dude... the one time I actually (accidentally) got on a Wimax network with the N810WE, it was freaking FAST.

I understand the frustration that those who were waiting for a upgraded tablet feel but with the success of the N900, which I believe will be HUGE, the chances for other devices like new tablets will greatly increase.

I was nervous about joining after reading some of the anti phone people posts and would like to thank Jsa for showing me that I would not get shot on sight!
And welcome on board right back at ya. As I wrote earlier to Jsa I hope you phone guys jump right in and get involved. I'm sure the help of a couple of early adopter phone peeps will be well received.

Unfortunately the transition to Fremantle from Diablo could be like what the transition to Chinook from Bora was like. In both cases they involved new hardware.

When the N800 dropped this board as well as most of the apps that were available were focused on the 770 and its somewhat different hardware configuration. Some system files and directory locations were changed in the new firmware so advice given here by a veteran 770 users or what was posted in various Wiki's and blogs was close, but sometimes wrong non the less.

Newbies like myself with our expensive new toys took it very slow until veterans had the newer devices in hand.

So I'm sure future newbies will benefit from any wisdom that a couple of veterans like yourselves could lay upon them.

That is so true! The advice/help of veterans is invaluable and is much appreciated!

I went to that link, and I read the post. What the hell happen to thoughtfix anyway? Doesn't like the forums anymore?

It is funny how some people thought it no big deal to give up some screen space for advertisers but protested a smaller screen.

Yes our community is fickle and as qgil says we are not consistent. I cannot blame Nokia for taking the drivers seat.

Sometimes I don't know what I want even right now!

I agree with you a little, but I would still have a larger screen and ads rather than a smaller screen. I mean, when you are watching a move, it is not like an ad is going to pop up. And iPhone users have been putting up with small ads in apps for ever.

Yes adds in trial apps that ask you to buy the full version in order to get them removed. If we get adds I cant remove I will toss my Nokia device in the toilet. My wife has an Iphone and in two years time never saw one advertisement.
