By the way thanks for all your replies. No Im not over my allowance and its not the settings cause I called tmobile n they guide me though the settings that are needed and it doesnt need a login name or pass either. The thing is when I got my data plan a while back they told me there is only one plan and its unlimited but the price depend on my phone. If its a smart phone it cost alot more. And luckily they have no idea what my phone is so they activated my unlimited data plan for only $10 a month but with this new firmware update somehow they detect my phone as a smart phone and wont let me use the data plan. I have no problem connecting its just that I cant do anything with it after I connect. since you guys here always have the answer to everything about this phone I was just wondering if anybody know a way around. if not then I guess I wont be able to update firmware ever again. Cause I dont want to pay $40 a month for internet instead of $10. And in case you guys r wondering how I called T-mobile and they still dont know I have a smart phone is cause they still dont know what a n900 is lol

It puts the tablet in phone or tablet mode, of course!
Maybe that means horizontal or vertical?
It would be cool if you could specify settings or apps open when switching modes.
