There are some html mockups available now for the free appstore:

Starting to shape up pretty good.

I can foresee a problem when my N9 gets here. Since it is from Denmark I will not be able to navigate through the beginning menus because they will be in a foreign language.

Can I ask a favor of you European guys that get your N9?
If you know English can you explain what the screen is asking you when you unbox it for the first time? And can you guide us over to the language selection?
Without sim inserted because some people will have to go and get a microsim after they unbox it.

Wait a second, that's still not going to change all the menu and icon languages or is it?

A lot of guys from the US are going to be getting there N9's from foreign countries that they are not likely to know the language of.
I remember there was a way to change the variant number on the N900 that I had to do so we could get the prease rait 1.2 firmware. So I'd want to change mine to Australian or UK Ireland or global variant or is this not going to be necessary?

I'll go watch the foreign language unboxing videos on youtube and see if I can see.

Then tell me how much do you get then with your HSPA+ equipment? Another point I have to ask is how much you are paying for your full speed HSPA+ contract?

Actually I think there is really no point for operators to invest on HSPA+. 4G is the next thing.

What I mean is as I understood that your were letting you alarm ring for an hour and a half, every 5 minutes, I considered that for that whole time you were neither asleep nor standing up

I don't think you'll need to hear it more than once.
Sometimes I use something similar in attitude, but different in genre, like this:

But if this catches me in REM sleep, while dreaming (I try to time my waking each morning but don't always succeed), it f*cks up my whole day...

Got you now. But even if I'd go to bed earlier/set the alarm 1.5 hours later, I still wouldn't be able to get out of bed at the first ring. For me, waking up is a process/ritual

I don't have HSPA+ equipment I have an N900 with HSPA only and my contract is capped anyway.

HSPA+ is 4G, it was allowed to be called 4G because it was an improved network that could still compete with LTE and WiMax.

here is a speedtest in Finland with HSPA+

If you want to know about the improvements in HSPA+ over HSPA.

Yay! Looks nice! We'll see how this plays out, especially with the MeeGo name gradually fading away over time...

I'll try to do it for you. Anyways, I'm planning to do a review of the N9 with many pictures, and in this, I want the setup phase covered very detailed. So I can mark you the items you need.

With a SIM card inserted, a freshly flashed N9 should default to the language retrieved from the SIM. I don't remember the exact layout of the startup dialog, however, it should be simple enough to change the language. Click on the item where you see Danish/Dansk and you should see a list of supported languages.

Changing the device language will also update application names as shown in the menu. Ideally, you start by flashing a different firmware image, but I don't know whether they are available for public download anywhere.
