That's strange indeed. I just ran the election several times. From 12 runs in 7 runs Rockmarble is third placed and in the other 5 p-uae is third placed.

Count after eliminating Rockmarble http://competition.meetmeego.org/submissions/55 and transferring votes. Candidates p-uae http://competition.meetmeego.org/submissions/69 and Rockmarble http://competition.meetmeego.org/submissions/55 were tied when choosing candidates to eliminate. Candidate Rockmarble http://competition.meetmeego.org/submissions/55 was chosen by breaking| the tie randomly.

As I can see, also the same what I got for FTSTV.
I think we have the correct results for both methods, FTSTV and RTSTV. The question remains which one to use.
For RTSTV we'le have the problem with Fun & Strange Category.

Well, as RTSTV shows an issue anyhow would it be reasonable to simply use FTSTV? This way we would get two things at once: we would solve the randomness issue and we would have a final decision on which voting system to use.

I'm all for it.The FTSTV, as it gives more constant results.
But zehjotkah has the final word. He has all the data and opinions.
Poor p-uae developer, he was so close...
Maybe we should have discussed this in more private way. Out of the eyes of the developers.
I've surely lost... prize, but got a lot of experience...so, I don't count.

I would say to move BashORGquotations to 3rd place.
In case there are 5 prizes, combine 4th and 5th the prize and split it 50-50 among p-uae and Rockmarble.
In case there are 4 prizes, split the 4th between them.
I'm suggesting this, because they're ties, and when one of them is eliminated it "pushes" the other to third place.
