^ just use
Code:
{cell-signal-strength?{script: /home/user/signal.sh}}
to update on every move you make...
(and forget about the rest)

yeah, {cell-signal-strength} updates very fast when moving the phone around, not sure about power-drain though. I experienced a slight general increase since using scripts heavily.

Oh, and the funny thing since v_1.0.9 is, you can even use
Code:
{cell-signal-strength?{script: /home/user/bluetooth.py}}
or any script instead, if you don't actually want to have signal strength there. Great feature, thanks again thp!

bluetooth.py itself just won't update on it's own in reasonable time.

Thanks to all who have submitted translations so far - keep going

If anyone still has issues with a cut-off operator logo even after reinstalling Billboard and replacing the CSS file, I've added a useful hint to the Billboard website submitted by John:

Billboard fixes the operator logo size in the base theme. If you have installed other themes in the past, or if you have tweaked the appearance of your "blanco" theme, it could be that the Billboard image still appears cut off in the standby screen. However, there's an easy fix for this. Thanks to John for submitting this hint:

Code:
cp /opt/billboard/css/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia.css.billboard \
      /usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia/style/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia.css

Hi there, greetings
firstly thank you for making my most favorite app Billboard on n9
my question is how do i run .py scripts from the billboard github. for eg. i copied the script of enabling bluetooth image on standby screen on notepad and saved it as as /home/user/bluetooth.py
then in terminal i did typed as normal user
" chmod 775 /home/user/bluetooth.py" (enter)
then in billboard app i wrote as "{script:/home/user/bluetooth.py}
then i turned ON bluetooth to see if it appears on standby screen, but somehow nothing was there. Can u correct my mistake please. For ur kind info, I am a fresher to this stuff and whatever i did as above is learnt from a friend. Awaiting for your reply. Thanks in advance
btw just for info, i have installed python on ma device

ruplee76,

In terminal with Bluetooth turned ON type "python /home/user/bluetooth.py" as regular user and see if the desired output appears first...

Does it say "/user" or "/usr"? It should be "/usr". Also, make sure you are running the latest version of Billboard.
