hey also one question, does anyone know if u can put the boot videos on random? so its a different one everytime u boot. coz i have 5 and theyre too good to pick just one
using the squares one now by the way and loving it

If you use bootscreen manager you can select random or multiple.
I am also using random!

I seemed to find the problem and it was like you said the orginal ones u uploaded were in a different format or sort, but the ones you re-uploaded were good and works.

So I did it without 'bootscreen manager'.
The only change to the FAQ above:
on my N900 it is
/opt/usr/share/hildon-welcome/media
and not
/usr/share/hildon-welcome/media/
and I had to move the original Hands-v32-h264.avi somewhere else for backup because it started playing both intro videos if both
stayed in the same place (although I edited /etc/hildon-welcome.d/default.conf accordingly).
