Anyone else having trouble with the latest RTCOM update (2.1-14)? It's in my Application Manager, under Check for Updates, but attempting to update results in an error, with a few dependencies missing. (I have 2.1-13 installed.)

Same error.

In xterm, apt-get upgrade tells me that this upgrade was hold back.

Greetings,

free incoming calls: landline calls to the grandcentral phone no. => ring the tablet as an internet call (voip)

free outgoing calls: calls from the grandcentral.com address book (or inbox) => ring the tablet as an internet call (voip) => ring the lineline

Enjoy!

Note: if flash player is not available, use grandcentral.com/mobile and select gizmo no. as your mobile number.
Slick! I hope there's a way to add the grandcentral contacts directly to the IT and have it directly initiate the GrandCentral call.

Hmm.. did you look at my bug report?

It's confirmed by someone at Nokia.

It did work poorly (lots of echo) in the first rtcomm beta for OS2007, but drops packets in OS2008 (no echo though!)

Works with earphones/headset.

Wow, this is great. No need for pigdin anymore. N800 really keeps getting better and better with every new software update/addition.

Sorry if I am being a total noob here (and I must be because no one else seems to have this problem):

I entered red pill mode, installed the installer, but then what???

I see the next step is
4. Once installed, select the menu item "Extras/RTCom update installer" and continue

But where do I select this menu item and continue? My IM program has not been updated (still the same old options) and I don't see any menu item that says "Extras/RTCom update installer" in the IM program or anywhere else except my Application Manager under installed applications, but if I click that, I only get the option to uninstall.

What am I missing other than clear instructions?

Thanks

I'm having trouble installing. I did this:
1. Select red pill mode
2. open the install page http://rtcomm.garage.maemo.org/#install2
3. click on the "install the installer from here" link
4. File download dialogue box, I select "open"
5. File downloads
6. Install? dialogue box, I select "ok"

I get "unable to install. some packages required for the installation are missing".

If I click on details, I see:
libatk
libc6
libcairo2
libdubus
libdbus-glib
libgconf
libglib
libgtk
libhildonmime
libosso
libpango
(I left out the version numbers on the lib files above)

Obviously this can be done, because many of you are successful. What am I doing wrong?

So, how does one answer an incoming call from Grand Central? It wants me to hit 1 to answer. I can not figure out how to get RTCOMM to pull up a keypad, nor can I figure out how to configure GC to not require me to hit 1. Anyone?
