well it works now... I get a reply to HELP and COST commands. I haven't actually tested voice yet. I noticed the lowest price to Toronto, Canada is 0.59 cents (yes less than a cent or 0.0059 USD). that's pretty decent and beats my calling card.

Everything is described in F.A.Q on our site. There's also my article on how this service got stared: http://www.gtalk2voip.com/article1_en.html, and some technology details: http://www.gtalk2voip.com/gtalk_technology.html

The main idea is pretty simple:

1. We are open to any VoIP provider to register and start serving GTalk users.
2. If you have a SIP/H.323 gateway connected to PSTN, you just define its IP address (plus some tech. details), test it through our web site, then define rates to destinations you can terminate calls to.
3. The call cost for a user is calculated as initial rate offered by provider + 50% comission fee. Rates displayed to end GTalk users already include our comissions and are final.
4. When call is charged, 65% of money goes to a provider the call was routed to, thus increasing its balance.
5. After some period we do wire transfer to providers.

So, at present we have 15 registered and tested VoIP prvoders, covering almost worldwide destinations. We believe, that in some time, when we get more providers registered, they will start competing to each others, which will lead to rates get dramatically lowered. Hope, this will work!

As a state of business, the revenue we get at present is enough to cover all our expenses, but not enough to fund further development. So, implementations of new features go very slowly, because we do it in our spare time.

Well, if you have some kilobucks you don't know how to waste, we are ready to get funded :-).

Regards,
Ruslan.

The GTalk2VoIP development team.

Yes, that's possible. I have sent you an email to your gmail account describing this stuff. Did you get any ? I need a list of your GTalk accounts to get merged.

Regards,
Ruslan.

Invitations, I created a new gmail account and have only used it on the 770, never logged into the windows googletalk client, it now accepts invitations without issues. Can anyone else confirm this, create a new account and don't use it is windows and see if you can recieve invitations.

I have two accounts that crash googletalk on the 770 when new invitation comes in, my newly crreated account works without crashing when new invitation comes in.

Awesome, I am not going to log this account into windows googletalk client because I am affraid it will break it.

I have also noticed another problem, I created 2 googletalk accounts, 770gtalk and 770addict, neither of these account would login using the 770 googletalk client, it was like because they started with numbers they were not able to log into the 770 client

Can anyone else confirm any of this?
