I LOVE the idea of this and I'm trying it out right now.

I'd say about 1/3 of the channels listed, maybe a bit less, seems to work.

In particular I was looking for Swedish and Vietnamese channels but the ones in the app does not seem to work for me.

Is there a way to add your own stations to the program?

Instead of releasing new versions of the program 'just' to add/remove/fix channels would it be possible to download a data set of programs into it? Like..a virus definition file

Wonderful app - I'd just love for more channels to work

The fact that so many don't work has several things to do with it. Some of it is because TV stations are region locking their web streams (the BBC, CNN, and others come to mind), and others are dead because the provider changed something on their site.

Something that might make this easier to keep up to date would be to have someone start a wiki like site where users can add streams, report broken ones, etc. Then the list is updated every couple of weeks to a month as a standard software update to keep things current. The other option is to also include the ability to report broken or non-working links within the program, upon which those links are fed back to a central server and reported to the controller.

Then again, since you need to be online to use this app (or would you more correctly call it a mod?) I would think that a web based list would be better. Then it could very easily be kept up to date, and users could personalize their channel lists.

Some channels work only with mplayer and some work only with mediaplayer, and some work with both. The best is to switch to the other player when a channel does not seem to work.

Hi there everyone, my first post here!

Totally love the idea of World Tv on the NIT and I have a quick question, would the new version of KMPlayer work as well as the one mentioned in the first post on this thread?

Welcome on board!

Yes. It does...and more. The new Kmplayer in fact can generate playlist and URLs if exist.
Post if question,

Edit: Take a casual check, this is exactly one year from 1st post. Interesting.

How exciting! I remember when I got my N800 in the mail two years ago.
