Hi Rocketman,
I do not think, shrinking would work. Method of choice would be, to have vnc-server with a 800x480 display. This of cause does not correspond to the usual screen resolution.

For me it doesn't work: when I try to connect to my Ubuntu 1600x1200 Desktop it says 'Connection to server lost'
Starting it from an xterm, last message given is 'in framebuffer update died'...
Any clue?

Hi,
I also set up my server resolution to 800 x 480 and VNC worked very well.
But as I use the server as a normal PC also, using 800x480 is not the answer...
Server side scaling would probably work. I know RealVNC server supports this. If just someone could build the server side scaling support for this Nokia 770 VNC client ??!!
