Your packaging does indeed seem to work. I installed through application manager, and everything seems to be working fine.

Feature request (for a point where the application is nearing a final version):
A 'set' of colors for the clock. Reason: I was playing with the mood picker colors, and I can't figure out how to get back to the nice red I had the 'night theme' on before (which I assume is by default). It would be great if you could 'restore to default' color or 'save' colors, so that you can switch between them later (since the mood picker is somewhat imprecise).

All in all, this is shaping up to be pretty nice! Thank again for taking the time for developing this excellent application!

A little more feedback:
It would be great if in 'daily alarm mode' you have some sort of indicator that you are in that mode. You can tell just by seeing that you can only set the alarm for the day, but I changed the mode from weekly to daily and didn't realize what had happened. When I saw that I could only set the alarm for one day (and the option to select other days was missing), I was utterly confused (since I didn't realize that is what 'daily alarm' mode meant ). I was about to report on the forum as a bug, until I realized what I did.

I find it sometimes crashes when I spin the digits
in alarm settings.

Also - weirdly - the alarms are an hour early. That is,
if I set alarm for 6 it shows up on the main screen
as 5.

Damn, says it can't find the package...and the entry in the app manager (0.9.3 Beta) tells me 'Application package not found'.

Not my evening

Edit: nvm: i disabled maemo-extra and was then able to see the -3 version that downloaded and installed fine.

Some feedback on the new version:

- In night mode most of the 'unlit lines' are thangod gone - apart from the unlit lines in the first digit...please take them out as well
(actually I don't know if there are still some on the 2nd digit as well as it's showing an 8 now and all lines are in use )

.- Pressing the h/w key for max and min screen caused the flipclock app to freeze after 4-5 clicks. It froze to the point I had to force-quit the process.

- Theme switcher button not visible in night mode

- Up and down drags on the clock screen seems to be less responsive. It often took me 2-3 swipes up or down to get to the next screen
At one point it simply stopped working regardless of how many times I swiped. The theme button still worked. Maybe it had to do with the freezong but it didn't matter how many times I now closed it and re-opened it - the drag up and down didnt work again..and I got tired and shut it down

Looking forward to next release though

jolouis - Thanks a lot for all your work on this fantastic application. Although it's very stable and usable on my N810 now I look forward to future updates and features. This is definitely one of the most-used and appreciated apps on my tablet.

elimoon8 - Should I just put the standard set of colours on there, or the last ones that you've picked? I'm thinking standard red, green, blue like the original Flip would be pretty good...thoughts?

That was the problem I was having with 0.9.3; do you have the update installed from my last post (0.9.3-3)? If not try upgrading to that one and see if the problem persists; please let me know either way as it is a bit of a concern.

This is a problem related to DST; I noticed the same thing the other day where alarms set before the DST change for a date after DST were wrong... haven't played with it since, but see if you clear the alarms and set them again after Sunday if the problem persists; I was half way through troubleshooting this on Friday afternoon when I got caught up with some other things so I don't remember exactly how far I got with it...

Hmmm that one's new, I've used it several times on my test devices here and never seen that happen... can anyone else reproduce this? Is it just if you hit window/max a few times, or do you try and press something on the clock in between, or?

The issues about the lines on the night screen and the missing theme change button I'm aware of, I just forgot to fix them for -3 release sorry! I'll get them one day I swear!

hmmm that one's odd as the code hasn't changed for that in a while... I probably need to tweak the button code for that to make it a little more obvious; it only works when your finger is actually over top of the digits themselves, and you have to drag down or up 20 pixels in order to trigger the change....
Can any one give me suggestions as to how to better handle this?? There's not enough space on the interface to make two more buttons "clock settings" and "alarm settings", but at the same time the drag thing really is tricky for people; There will be a little help/tutorial thing to explain it in the final version, but is explaining it a good enough solution or should I try and find another way of making it work? (All of these controls btw are defined by the themes, so later on I could make an alternate theme that had buttons in addition to the dragging...)

Thanks for the positive feedback bigduke!

By the way I guess nobody's tried this on an N800? No comments at all about the FM radio stuff that I added and whether it works properly/looks cool/etc?...

And now back to handing out candy to the kids!

I woke up early this morning and looked at the time: it was 26:16! Took me a few moments to realise that that was a 'funny' time...
After I restarted the app, the time displayed was normal again, 02:17
0.9.3-3 with 24-hour display. Regional setting is Dutch, perhaps that has got something to do with it? Not sure if I can replicate this issue, but I'll try.

Just tried it like 10 times with both themes, and flipclock keeps working.

I can't get the upward and downward sweeps working.
No freezing though.
Maybe something happened during tne install.
I'll un-install and re-install and see if that changes things.
