if i click "update" it tells me there is a new version available, but if i agree to install it immediately gives the error message quoted by the guy above.

Which version of Maemo 5 are you using, PR1.0 or PR1.1?
Also, make sure you have the Nokia Applications catalogue enabled.

can developer of this extra decoder take a look what kind of codec is used in this podcast http://iax.podomatic.com/enclosure/2...8_49-08_00.m4a
Last 2 podcasts from that source are not playing in mediaplayer, but work in kmplayer with osso.

the app manager shows several different repos (not devel or testing), and i have installed and uninstalled apps with no problem up till now.
