Installed version maemo8 and the boot screen's disabled
Is there a way to continue showing the boot log on the second progress screen, i.e after going into USER mode?
One more thing, sometimes it reboots while booting up or reboots after being shut down.

A full reflash isn't necessary, there's no need to waste your time restoring apps
On windows:
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -u
Linux:
sudo flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -u
After it finishes unpacking the image type
flasher-3.5 -k zImage -f -R
Easiest way is to place the image in the same dir of the flasher and use the command as it is. Remember to change the filename of the image to whatever file you're using

reg boot log: I guess that's when the X server takes over the screen...
the reboots are the reason why I disabled fbcon in recent kernels.
the next step is to upgrade to 2.6.28.10 but AFAIK it doesn't fix fbcon.

That's why I have disabled it.
If you nonetheless want to test it you can install the older version maemo8 from http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...free/k/kernel/
