Sorry for getting confused. If I already have the Titan kernel I just need to uninstall BlessN900, install the Titan fCam driver then FCamera right? I shouldn't have to touch the kernel right?

I did exactly that ^ and it works.

I had that too, before any kernel upgrade. Simply decided to make my life difficult. Turns out it was a busted rootfs. A fsck and a battery removal later it started humming. Not even a reflash.

Inside, use lowlight or HDR. They both get me miles over the Nokia default cam.

Indoor use low-light settting as was mentioned earler. A few other nice features. I have only used it for a few minutes but here is what I think:

a) histogram. You may think the white wavy thing at the bottom is annoying but it is sometimes very useful in helping you determine good exposure. Especially when you're outside and can't tell because the sun is too bright, having the histogram is nice.
b) point focus. That's just all sorts of awesome. I wish it could stay permanently on the screen though and I could just move it around without the AF button selected
c) Manual control over just about everything.
d) swipe up for settings and swipe down for gallery. Genius. No extra real estate needed to get to these.

Stuff I'm not so sure about
e) RAW - Unless you are into photography and really into the best image quality you won't care. I just tested it and I'm not convinced they're shooting RAW. I'm going to start another thread but for now I'm calling BS.

Advantage of the integrated camera:
f) exposure compensation. I like the total manual control that fCamera gives but without exposure compensation its a little less useful.

These thoughts are just from 5 minutes of tinkering with it.

From my POV, the bottom line is that the integrated camera is decent for what it does. fCamera has good features and great potential. When that potential gets realized fCamera will beat the integrated camera, I'm certain. For now I think this will be the realm of enthusiasts at least for a few more revs.

Oh, and another reason to use fCamera is that the red light doesn't go on. :-)

BTW, fCamera works great, but I have a few issues. My phone updated and it saw an titan fcamera driver update. I tried to download it and it said it had a conflict with the power kernel. Is there anything I need to do? Thanks.

The issue is being worked on. Don't force the upgrade.

I thought the new drivers are being held back? Are you using fapman?

Great. No, not using fapman, just the regular app updater. I'll just wait until the dust settles, but wanted to make sure I didn't miss any steps. Thanks.

does anybody know about a method to hold/lock titan's fcam-drivers other than
Code:
echo fcam-drivers hold | dpkg --set-selections
so that the blinking yellow icon not always notifies you about fcam-drivers_1.0.5-2?
