Well like said Nokia execs have even gone and said that N series will be for MeeGo so i doubt it. Nokia already did big revamp to it's naming scheme just recently.

Only unknown is S series.

There where rumours about it being the new 8xxx and at least just couple of days ago Eldar said that he was playing with S series phone and the series would indeed be about premium phones.

I allways find the day 2 keynote more interesting. Mostly cause all the high end hype and stuff gets discussed and written to death anyway and there's allways interesting things that I wouldn't even know about cause I live in the 1st world.

S40 and services coolness from Mcdowell keynote:

-Nokia Money pilot success in India. Nokia will start expanding to other regions in India other countries. Nokia Lifetools has 5 million users in India, and now espanding to China and Indonesia.

-4/5 email accounts created on mobile devices are created on a S40 device! Nokia expanding QWERTY and touch S40 devices, in order to connect next billion people to internet.

-New proxy-based Ovi Browser for S40 devices. Faster and less data use than regular browsers. Important for 3rd world network use.

-New S40 Java SDK to enchance app development for S40. Few big number examples from S40 app successes in South-Asia.

-Nokia and Inuit launching new service for small busineses in developing world. I think this is why the S40 Ovi browser was created, I.e using the proxy connection to provide location based ads and services to browser users.

I suspected nokia had what it takes to make lifetools etc functional and successive when I first read about it. I claim that the most interesting development of mobile telephones and services breed from developing countries where there are no old, respectful and restrictive banks etc braking development of different things you can do with your phone.
e: I mean certain parts of infrastructure that dictate western way of living but has zero effect in developing countries.

HTC's offerings are pretty damn nice. 4.3 inch screen on the Desire HD, basically the HTC EVO 4G with GSM radios... and the Desire Z with a pretty nice keyboard. Dual LED flash on the Desire HD, single LED flash on the Desire Z.

What I didn't know until this morning... the Nokia E7 has only a 640 x 360 4 inch screen. Now that's just plain a notch or two behind damn near everybody else. Lame.
