Quick reply...
I'm trying to install Panorama (because I have seen no better panorama application around).
I have got USB networking.
I have logged into Ovi Store.
And when I click "Download", it starts Hildon Application Manager which cannot see the Internet.

apt-get install panorama
fails because apt-get is crippled and cannot download from Ovi Store.

How can I:
1. set up "Dummy network" for HAM to see?
Yes, I have read the wiki, and Settings->Internet Connections->Connections does see "Dummy network".
or
2. get non-crippled apt-get to download Panorama;
or
3. get .deb of Panorama from somebody who has already installed it
?

You can (I believe) use aptitude to install the free apps from the Ovi repository.

Thank you! Panorama is a remarkably good application.

(What is its license? Just curious...)

When autofocus is off, where is the focus? It seems to be returned to the same value after an attempt to change it with live focus.

Could there be an easy way to switch between single photograph mode and panoramic mode?

EDIT: If you have a problem, can you start from X Terminal?

Code:
cp /opt/qt4-maemo5/ /opt/used_ to_be_qt4-maemo5/
rm /opt/qt4-maemo5/
and then try and run panorama.

Any issues simply reverse the cp and rm procedures as root.
also in my case the pr1.3 upgrade left the /opt/qt4-maemo folder
after this:
N900:~# mv /opt/qt4-maemo5 /opt/qt4-maemo5.old

panorama is running fine!

spoke too soon. Now panorama always freezes at the first click of the camera button (when says "hold still"), and then I have to kill it. Tried several time, also after rebooting, but doesn't work. Starting from terminal doesn't help. Anybody has the same?

I had panorama working installed on fw 1.2 with 'apt-get install panorama' after having installed aptitude. However, after fw update to 1.3 panorama refuses to initialize. I uninstalled and re-installed but got the same outcome. What went wrong?
