How long did the cpu stay at 100%?

strange thng is everytime i open application manager the cpu usage reach 100% any clue

no i didnt do overclock,it changes from 92 to 100%

That's normal, it's to do with the application starting up, if you just leave it it will settle down after five or ten seconds. Spend a few days reading the wiki, it explains most of the things you have been asking here.

The n900 isn't like other mobile phones, it's really a hand held Linux powered computer. There's a popular saying about Linux: it makes the easy things hard and the hard things possible. There's a certain amount of learning you will have to do before you can do some of the things that may be easy on other platforms, but the upside is that it doesn't take much more learning before you can do some really cool stuff

excuse me guys is ram usage 145 mib out of 239 min which is usin 60% normal ??

Yes. It is not uncommon for Linux to use close to 100% of ram - this is one reason why it is often faster and more efficient than windows.

Because it's flash 10, install Tweak Flash Version from the repos and set the flash version to 10.1, then give it a try.

High RAM usage is fine, it's only when your swap space gets full that things become a little choppy. To combat this you can install swappolube to give you some control over how the OS uses and allocates resources.
