Sorry, I am letting my money do the talking only in the next generation of devices. I will reveal my vote by not buying a Windows Phone from Nokia - even if I at a later time should decide that the OS should be awesome.

There IS a chance that I'll decide that the next generation of Windows phones are awesome. If they are Windows 8 phones and not Windows Phone 8 phones. A full desktop Windows OS would please me, especially if they do a job of adapting it for phone usage a la the N900.

But I'd buy it from HTC or whoever. Not a dime to Elop.

People are free not to update Tear. That doesn't make them a big bad corporation.

Won't say that I won't be there.

Allow me to foresee some of the complications in choosing despite how I feel now:
- number of alternative open source phones: limited.
- other phones that come with resistive screens and stylus: none unless you count chinese MP4-phones.
- number of pro version phones (i.e. keyboard): shrinking.
- current satisfaction with android: below maemo levels.
- Nokia prices: not bad to start with, dropping now.

So, I won't get everything I want, but I won't get it elsewhere either.

you guys are missing the fact that it's not the full qt that's supported. plain qt as well as meegotouch are deprecated and are not supposed to be used on the n9 (nor any other phone). only qml/qtquick is supported.

This is a daft reply, sorry. You made that money by also providing a service or product too, that money therefore does not belong to you either but to the treasury. It doesn't matter where they got the money from intially it's their money.
