So yea. If you use it and like it backupmenu, please donate a few dollars. Link's on the first page.
Not possible, I donated more than $5!

But just to be sure...

If so, I apologise. I only remember getting the one donation(which I posted about earlier in the topic), and it was about $5.
I can't get into my paypal right now, so I can't check the logs, but I thank both of you.

I donated 5 dollar just before you wrote about it, so that can be related to me I guess

My rule of thumb: if a program gives you additional value on a regular base and the author refers to his paypal account: just donate something. It shows your appreciation and is a little compensation for all those hours spend in the developers free time.

I can imagine you find the response somewhat dissapointing, but hope it does not prevent you from developing for the N900.

Well I donated in november 2010, I was already aware that BackupMenu was one of the best programs at all for the N900, which saved my *ss too many, too many times!

Nah, I didn't do it for the money. I did it because *I* needed the tool working at first, and then realized that many others did too.

But yea, it can be disappointing at times.

That being said, looking over my logs:
Between July 9th and Yesterday, I got two donations, for a total value of 6.22 (Remember, paypal takes there little cut, so...)
On August 8th, I got 28.03 in 3 payments of ~$10(I get about 9.31 out of every $10 donated).

Now, I currently have $28.03. I'm looking to get to a fundraising 'goal' of about $55, which would allow me to get a couple of bits I need. I'll keep you guys posted along the way.

Just keep in mind, that paypal lately increased cut-off to much more than "little". If You would consider switching to (or just putting this as alternative option) BitCoin, it would be great. Especially, that due to deflative nature of BitCoin, Your accumulated coins tend to get more value with time, overall.

This is just suggestion, of course - although I would be much more happy to donate via reliable BitCoins that *very* sucking PayPal, which, despite being forced to use it myself from time to time, I dislike very much. And I'm aware of fact, that many active TMO users got so bad experiences with PayPal, that they refuse to use it at all.

Side note: Maemo Council consider using BitCoin as mechanism for donating to community governed Maemo (Foundation?).

BitCoin generally deflative? In eneral, yes it as like this for a long time. What happened when that particular exchange got hacked, was exactly the opposite.

I haven't donated, too - despite I had several moments I had really good use of your backupmenu. I'm able to feel your pain, but as several others I don't like paypal and because of that I have no account. (donated at the coding competition also only via a different method)

But I hope I have done a good deed with my recommendation's and to convince you to give it a second try. I tried to give you this way something back. Thanks for all your work and effort!
I hope you're able to make as great use of it as at our N900!

The N950 is anyway a lot more worth than 5 bucks. ENJOY HACKING AND DEVELOPING!
