Could you add the following cities?

1. Hangu, Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa (Province), Pakistan

2. Kohat, Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa (Province), Pakistan
yes.

I will add those cities in the next release of MeeCast (0.7.1)

Hi Vlad,

One feature request if you could implement would be great is allowing multiple cities in standby screen.

The default logo is i think in /home/user/.cache/com.meecast.omweather/logo.png; since Billboard allows for images to be entered is there a possibility of all cities appearing in the same directory? Maybe a logo, logo1, logo2 etc depending on cities as it would be good when travelling from one city to another

Thanks!

Vlad,
one of the cities I have set in my meecast is Russian (and fetched from gismeteo), and today when I opened meecast to scroll through 'my' cities, the description of the weather was a long scrolling bar of ????????, ????????? ????, ???? ? ??????
My device is set to English.
Here is a fragment of the forecast fetched by meecast:
Code:
<period start="1363878000" end="1363892400" current="true">
 <temperature>-2</temperature>
 <icon>13</icon>
 <description>Пасмурно, небольшой снег, снег с дождем</description>
 <pressure>982</pressure>
 <wind_direction>NW</wind_direction>
 <humidity>94</humidity>
 <wind_speed>5</wind_speed>
</period>
<period start="1363824000" end="1363910400">
<sunrise>1363848540</sunrise>
<sunset>1363892820</sunset>
</period>
<period start="1363813200" end="1363827600" hour="true">
 <icon>14</icon>
 <description>Mostly Cloudy, Snow</description>
 <temperature>-4</temperature>
 <pressure>989</pressure>
 <wind_speed>0</wind_speed>
 <wind_direction>SE</wind_direction>
 <humidity>95</humidity>
 <flike>-9</flike>
</period>
So apparently for certain periods the weather description was sent in English, for others was in Russian ()
I guess it's not meecast fault for the mixup with languages, but should the display show Russian text properly even with device set to English?

This is an interesting feature request, but now I'm developing MeeCast for Tizen and BlackBerry and I haven't got any free time for Meego version of MeeCast.

Thanks for a bug report. It will be fixed in version 0.7.1 of MeeCast.

Why not Sailfish & Blackberry? So far Sailfish is looking to be far more collaborative/open then Tizen initially "suggested" it would be.
Plus as dev environments, BB10 & Sailfish would be more complimentary. Sailfish would tie into Tizen, as Sailfish plans to have decent HTML5 support.

I know about Sailfish. Currently MeeCast is working under Sailfish almost perfectly.

Hi,

I've got an issue with Meecast 0.7 : whatever station from any source I add in the application I get this error "no data for this station".

Note that the app never worked for me, even with earlier versions: I always had this error message in place of the weather details.

I don't know how to debug the app, to know what the servers return from data requests. But thing is, even New York did show this error, on all sources.

Please, tell me there's a known workaround for this !
