Well you said:
Precisely & which of the SGSII's specs make it better than the N9?
AFAIK there's nothing hw-wise which would explain why it performs much better.
Jay seems certain he is configuring both fairly/evenly...
So maybe the software's not actually doing what he's telling it to do?
I tweeted Damien Dining (Nokia's imaging guru) for a "please explain".
Particularly since 20hrs ago he made this bold claim:
I also pointed him to jakiman's comparison...

Just came to think about it... The only true novelty on the N9 is the Swipe UX, which is really fluid on the rather "old" 1 GHz OMAP3 and SGX530. No stunning photos, lacking many features from other high-end (even older Nokia) devices, such as FMTX, USB-OTG, HDMI out...
Maybe we shouldn't see the N9 as the last MeeGo phone by Nokia, but as the first phone for the next billion?
What do you think of this?
with regards to the picture quality on the N9
Take a look at some pics already posted.
Thanks to Slai for taking those pics, my personal fav is the bottom 1.
the thing to ask yourself is: Was the camera on the n900 good enough for the pictures you wanted to take? if yes then the n9 camera is more then enough. if you find you need an amazing camera then the n8 is for you. for me i was able to take some decent pics on the n900 and the n9 will be good enough for me. but i'm more into the phone side of things and instant messaging.
Is anything delivered in full for the Nokia N9? No flasher yet, no Swype keyboard, not even stock seems to be coming out in sizeable measures.
Nokia has not learned a thing from the N900 launch. Have that **** in place before you launch.
We all know there's no such thing as the "uber perfect" phone...
SGSII (& some if it's android ilk) is the only one likely to get close to that, & maybe the N9

there is a store in NYC I stopped into that can get pretty much any world phone. I asked him about the n9 he says he can acquire it and to call him next week about the actual price. I'll let you guys know if he can get em and how much. If anything i'll ask him if he can give me a discount if I were to order 10 or more, maybe organize a group purchase on the forum If i can.

I do believe though that all of the above is in the Community Purchase Plan thread I had started in the Community Forum from a few days back.

They had priorities. I'm sure Aegis is working flawlessly and you KNOW that they probably locked down the closed-source in there tight so you can't replace the main closed apps.

I'll link to that prominently from the one I've started...
Yours can be more for group focussed buys (mostly for NA I guess?)
