Agreed. No point in reflashing to get the update. There are absoultely no immediate gains from this update. It wont change your experience and you're really not missing much.

One is a voda version, the other is a general UK unlocked one. (But that is kinda irrelevant)

People do have the option to reflash to the global version if they are desparate for the upgrade, but personally i can't see a reason to do that.
(Search the wiki for flasher for info - if you really really want - generic warning applies!)

If you have a rootfs, or low memory issue with the upgrade - search the wiki for rootfs - you will get a lovely page full of advice and tips..

If you don't know where the wiki is, it is here
(Just pre-empting on that one i feel!)

And for clarification. There is no news on when it will be released in the uk, and there probably won't be. Please be patient

I never buy my phones from carriers only sim free and direct from nokia . My recent nokia phones n97 , n82 , n96 have all been unlocked yet being from the uk have always been updated with the latest firmware last and in some cases by a couple of months .

Well its 24 hours, and its still no sign of the new firmware in the UK.

Seriously. What could be delaying this so much?

The sluggish video may be because of bugs 8165 (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8165) or 7147 (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7147)

If helps - vote for it for faster resolution.

Thanks for the reply, but it didnt help.. I might have to reflash it, not that i know how to do so.. but thats the least of my problems, i dont want to flash, anyone got any idea how to fix this?
