Hi, i need some help.... after rebooting with my keyboard open, i selected to boot the Nitdroid -> some commands flashed up -> the screen became blank with a "-" dash at the top left corner .... the dash just stays there until i had to pull out my battery to reboot ..

please help... thanks.

EDIT: I followed the exact steps in the first post but to no avail ... anyone please help?

i have installed nitdroid and it works
but i can't start my meamo by pressing the ''b'' button

It says:

E: videoep: xcb connect failed
E: videoep: xcb connect failed
E: videoep: xcb connect failed
Starting PyMaemo optification.

but after that nothing happend
does anyone know how solve the problem?

Try pressing 0 and see if that boots it for you.

anyone can recommand an android usb networking tool to connect my n900 to internet via pc?
how can i get root access in android terminal emulator?

Sooo a bit unsure what I did wrong now but.

I was running Version 0.0.5-3 just fine and where tempted to test out the new Version 0.0.6, so I did the upgrades in the guide for Version 0.0.5-4, no error during install, but I could not get it to boot... I then tried just to replace the Version 0.0.5-4 with the new 0.0.6 but same result.

When I select the new multiboot option (in my case 5) for the new kernel and all I just get a reboot and back to the selection screen I go.

Any clues where to start looking? I can't see any error messages that would appear and Maemo boots just fine.

I also checked that the file you create for multiboot contains all it should.

Thanks in advance for any help you might have!

Check that the kernel is in boot/multiboot (should be 0.5)

After i finally got rid of NTDroid and the Boot screen, my device seems to be messed up: The internal music player doesn't find any songs and all music libaries are gone, how to fix this?
