Now THAT makes sense

Foolish for Nokia, considering the N900's awareness and delay already- but makes complete sense for having zero real status updates from any channel or seller.

How slow have these forums crawled to, everyone on their lunch break must be having a look here lol.

IF MPD were supposed to get them today be haven't then hopefully they'll simply arrive tomorrow?!!?!

If people start getting them today, Nokia shipped on Tuesday. If not, Nokia either shipped by boat, or Sopwith Camels via Snoopy airlines

Surely Nokia was PR smart enough to at least ship by Snoopy rather than boat.

Wait a second, Snoopy was really on his doghouse

I'm afraid Snoopy encountered the Red Baron.

That's funny - told you they've been hijacked by the Somali Pirates!

Or N900s are stranded on Helsinki-Vantaa Airport due Finnair's pilot strike

If product was expedited, someone would have had the product or received shipping notification over the weekend. Even with standard air bulk delivery (where the product is queued with others to fill planes) someone would at least have shipping confirmation.

Customs is not usually an issue for the slowdown either, since all major sell-in channels have import reps that handle there products, so product does not sit and collect dust.

Assuming Nokia failed to expedite product and shipped air-bulk and product really shipped on Tuesday:

Tuesday product is dispatched to shipper and processed

Wednesday product is queued for air-bulk delivery and ships

Thursday product arrives at destination, customs review and dispatched to inbound channels

Friday product is received at sell-in channels and processed (Nokia and official resellers probably have priority)

Saturday product is arranged for direct channel distribution- depending on scanning and order status system, some sell-through customers should see an update status.

Sunday is a wildcard, since depends on shipping method and channel work schedule

Monday- Someone should either have word or received their N900. Maybe not many people, but SOMEONE should have.

My bet is the product was cleared for shipping and not actually "shipping". Most likely left factories on Wednsday (at best).
As has been the case with past Nokia releases - mobiles are available at retail 2 weeks after shipping.. Shipping via boat/road would give a reason for this timelag.

whats the matter with all of you. The only thing nuknuk has done is share what he has been told. It is really not his fault that the sales people told him the wrong thing consistently to the point that it was believable. If you dont want to hear rumors and speculation, and potentially bad info, dont read these threads, stick to just press releases.
