try dmesg in xterm and check that the n900 mem card is sdb

howto that basicly matchs is on page 30 just the kernel and rootfs that need changing

ok ive just updated the first post of topic with latest info anyone want to check my edit for any obvious mistakes - also new rootfs for n900 is up now check page 84 or first post for link and details

As has been said multiple times the keyboard lights are from r and d mode disable it and they disappear

sry my fault..its late here and i was very suprised to see blinking lights on my keyboard

If you want the homescreens to be smooth, I suggest LauncherPro. It's free and really increases the eye candy.

maybe in /etc/mce/mce.ini we could find an answer to the keyboard lights issue

ok thanks to qwerty12 we have a solution for keyboard crazy lights

Edit /etc/pmconfig and change "sleep_ind 1" to "sleep_ind 0", then reboot

so lets try and let me know if that works for you
