At this current rate, you're saying don't put money into Microsoft's pocket. But how will you accomplish that? If you buy Android, they get a piece of it. Due to the strategic partnership, you're doing that very same thing (putting money into Microsoft's pocket) via a Nokia N9 purchase. And if you buy WP7, you're still putting money in Microsoft's pocket. Only iOS really is free from that aforementioned cycle of money to Microsoft. Well that and the one I don't consider a personal option - Symbian.
blurb about MS not having a hand in anything
Pertaining Mexico, after confirming (crap, I need to update that other thread) that EN-US from the user there as well as via w00t here at TMO will not indeed cost extra, the 64gb is still not even showing up in their lists. The standing offer for a 16gb Black still stands, still at the same price. But those dudes are sorta in the dark still by Nokia. They're not happy about that.
And they do not have huge numbers in Mexico, when the interest picked up on it, my friend sorta panicked and has been trying to get the 64gb information as soon as he could.

It seems that the number of people becoming tired of Nokia is growing at a considerable rate. The sad thing is that most of the concerns are not technical in nature, but are instead regarding the inability of Nokia to produce and sell a phone in a timely and well-organised fashion.

people who buy a SGS2 will be getting a 4.3" screen with a fastest SoC outside of the iphone4s.
the BOM for an N9 should be very similar to the LG Optimus Black P970, and that is around £300 sim-free rather than £450.

Mike, please calm down. Not sure how you got all that from afaq's post but nobody is saying one is better than the other, people are still on the fence and they don't pledge allegiance to either OS. Let go of this "Us vs Them" mentality.

Absolutely, I don’t have a belief system or ideology about Nokia, Android, Apple or Microsoft.
I will admit to some customer / brand loyalty to Nokia, because I have enjoyed their products for over 13 years – up to and including my N900..

Yikes dual-band 802.11gn (Nexus Prime passing through FCC)
http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/08/g...ing-to-atandt/
Pisses on N9's 802.11an....
ICS leaks
http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/07/i...load-previews/
wait was this confirmed? well if this is true, paired with lack of gapless playback i can rest well now without the thing.
at least i can say i was here for almost all of this thread. that seems like a contest worth enough effort to be awarded an N9 for.
That, & the fact that their "low end" Meltemi devices will have nearly the same specs as the N9.
Thus making it nothing more than a mid-low end device for 600+USD. Still on the fence.....
I decided not to get it. will wait for 4 months and see what happens to prices
No company or brand has a monopoly on my future devices or wallet and nor should it on anyone else's.

Questiuon is what is theyr point? Again try too convinvce everyone too go for Android or what?
I dont mind if people gives good arguments like the facts that it seems SGS2 takes better inside photos than N9.
Atleast this such stuff can make Nokia to take some more time too improve the camera/jpeg compression.
But for those repeating Adobe Flash is not supported. We already know this! We already knows that OMAP3 is "old" we already knows that Nokia mainos is WP7. If you dont like this facts well go for something else. Dont bother repeating this over and over and over again. It's just pointless imho..-
And whats the point saying "Nokia sucks/N9 is old" over and over again?
Are you people paided by Google saying this or what? Probadly not but...
In both cases you doesn't convince anyone go for Android you in worst case will be added to N9 users ignore list....
