hey guys, while appling the patch i got this error after command;bash ./speedpatch.sh
is this normal?

Adding the patch...
cat: can't open '/etc/rc.local': No such file or directory
Making backup of /etc/rc.local in /etc/rc.local.backup.txt
cp: can't stat '/etc/rc.local': No such file or directory
sed: /etc/rc.local: No such file or directory

im having a weird problem when i open xterm. i think it may be attributed to the patch. as soon as i open up xterm this pops up:

mkdir: cannot create directory '/dev/cgroup/cpu/user/8961': Permission denied
-sh: cannot create /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/8961/tasks: nonexistent directory
-sh: cannot create /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/8961/notify_on_release: nonexistent directory
~ $

if i manually mkdir the 8961 directory and reopen xterm the message shows up again excpet 8691 is replaced with another 4 digit number. this doesnt affect the functionality of xterm but im just wondering what is causing it

that is normal because N900 doesn't use rc.local as mentioned in the first post

you haven't uninstalled the previous versions
that happened with me until i uninstalled all the previous versions

after uninstalling the previous version install the newest one

would this have any conflicts with kernel power v48 ?, it should work, just asking to be sure, i cant be re-flashing the phone anytime soon since i'm on the move..

there are no conflicts with kernel-power v48
it should work with it

and if something went wrong
just remove the patch
it is very easy and safe

OK, I just checked and am pretty sure this patch causes the auto pop up connection dialog in Advanced Interface Switcher to stop working. Maybe it is conflicted with some other apps that other people don't have, but at least that's a problem on my phone. When I deleted the 3 files (to uninstall the patch) and reboot, that function works again.

Access denied: You need the privilege midgard:create.
