Thats true and I have seen a lot of people failing to help him/her/it.

dr_frost_dk, please just ignore such posts.
And, of course, this was not related to Your work, which we all appreciate and honor. But just ignorance, so I fully understand Your feelings.
Thank You.

I did not want to write anything, but enough is enough ....

I got strange things to report - in my case, stopping bme swap vdq to 0 unconditionally. I don't know why. If i recall correctly, many people reported that for them only one option to get edv1=1 is to disable bme, but, for unknown reasons, in my case it always screw vdq.

If someone else got exact results, I've useful advice:

It's still possible to calibrate correctly, it only need *much8 more carefully watching discharge process, when it's reaching end. From the point of 3300 mV, I usually turn off-line mode on. Then, voltage jump a little (due to less charge used) - when it reaches 3300 mV again, I turn brightness to min (with constant backlight *enabled* - switching it off and on may cause temporary,, yet huge voltage drop = bme can kick in and shutdown phone).

At this point, total power usage should be ~100 mA ("bq27200.sh 5" - loop mode - helps a lot in monitoring). Using dual scuds, I'ts now perfectly able to have < 3248 mV for 15 seconds, to turn edv1=1. After that, for another unknown reasons, BME shutdown the phone in 5 seconds (IDK, maybe this is only case in my device, lol), even that it';s still ~3235 mV - 3240 mV range. Thankfully, at this point fuel gauge already recorded edv1=1 and saved new "last measured discharge"

I don't know why it's working like that - at least in my case - Normally, BME turns phone @ around 3190 mV. I saw it personally, when not calibrating = higher current used. Maybe it's some time-trigger, so with higher power usage, we're able to go down to less than 3200 mV?

I even tried it with screen turned off, which resulted in ~40 mAh power usage, and results were the same. So, if we're approaching lower limit slower (for example, due to fact that we want to stay below 3248 for full 15 seconds), BME turn phone off @ little higher voltage.

I'll update tutorial to calibrate - first of all, I've moved kernel-power with bq27x00 module enabled to optional[ section, cause, as shadowjk correctly mentioned, it's not required to perform calibration. bq27200.sh and i2ctool are enough. Furthermore, kp48 got bq27x00 disabled + path allowing it to live together with bme removed.

I've also included "troubleshooting" section, with this tutorial to calibrate without disabling bme.

Finally got around making a "stand" for my mugen cover...

Not pretty but it gets the job done, really stable to.

And yes that is just a BLACK 1.5mm solid core wire, and some super glue, really doesn't get more low tech then that, just need to dull the edges.

0_o nice, invention through re-invention.

Although, I suppose that it isn't possible to write on keyboard comfortably due to 90 degrees standing? BTW, additional plus of that approach is having part of wire always with You (maybe even use three layers of 0,5 wire?), every McGyver will love that

I'm also working on good "leg" for my cover - tried many variants, currently I'm DIY'ing a 2-part telescope leg. I want to put in into free place from on/off switch (camera switch, obsolete with camera lens cover mod).

To further help on the battery power/capacity we apparently need new LCD screens

what does it mean that after extensive testing the battery was 1500mAh

i am going to buy the scud. just wondering that its capacity is 1420 then how come it increased to 1520 after extensive use. just wondering what do u mean by that. like using it constantly.hammering it to its extent or what?
