A question, would it be possible to block the reconnection attempts as long as the network is roaming so I don't get a blocked UI (same for forced offline mode) and still automatically connect once a connection would be available again? A more sophisticated way of reconnecting instead of brute force?
What about the media download issue, do we know if that is server or clientside? :-)

I was also facing many issues with wazapp 0.9.19. What you stated above was part of it too.
Its like if you copy and past some text in the text input box and if you try placing the text input cursor some where else by clicking in the text input area then the whole text gets pasted again, they clicking somewhere else and it pasts again. Not sure if that happened with you but it did happened with me.
More so i was plagued with a unique problem where when i would press send after typing text, it would just disappear from the Input box. I was just not able to send any text for a very long time. Did loads of experimenting and finally decided to solve it by going one step at a time. 1st was rest to factory setting, then a comprehensive rest deleting all data n if that also did not work then Flash it.
But fortunately "Clear Setting" worked like a charm for me.
I highly recommend it to you as it only resets the basic setting keeping almost all user data Intact.
Go to Setting>>Reset>>Restore Setting>>Yes
I didnt even need to unInstall n reinstall wazapp after that. Its working perfect since then.

Hey guys.. a horrible thing happened to me:
I installed 0.9.19 version, but after some days I couldn't send messages anymore.. I wrote but nothing was sent when pressing "send"..
Then I unistalled it, and re-installed..
Now if I press the icon, the program doesn't start anymore..
I tried also to delete .wazapp folder.. but.. nothing...
so.. what can I do??
please, help me..

Here is a temporary solution i have found out. Close wazapp and keep the phone in Power Saving Mode for an hour or so (i do so n go to sleep in the night). After that just try n see if it working. Sadly the prob would crop up again in few hrs.
Solution 2 - Reset the setting on ya phone, Worked well for a larger period of time bit the problem returned yest night. But i was able to use wazapp for the whole day without any prob.

About your second issue:
If you have recently installed the wazapp nightly version then its unable to create the ".wazapp" folder hence unable to start. You can create the folder manually by following this post :

Will you be fixing bug of nightly build? I know earlier you have said that you won't so just confirming. I am fine with current version as well and thanks for all your hardwork you put in nightly build.

About your second issue:

If you don't have never installed wazapp and you installed 0.9.19.0 ~ nightly21, here is one solution, if nothing happens when press the icon.
You need to create /home/user/.wazapp folder youself. It does not do it automatically.
As user:
Code:mkdir /home/user/.wazapp
