The initial account sync has finished and the emails contacts and calendar have also synchronised only after applying the 2.2009 update.

Now when i go to the emails in mail for exchange i do not have any new emails and the timer just keeps spinning. Also if i close the mail windows and open it again the inbox is not showing and appears only after the sync starts again

I finaly managed to get the device logs. This synchronization was performed on Kerio Mailserver 6.7.3 patch 1. After a few minutes I receive a communication error.

Fields that I've replaced in the device log:

Replaced IMEI with zero's
Replaced serveraddress with myemail.nl

Thanks in advance vitaly

Yep. Clear.

Hmmm. So N900 email client never shows you the messages from MfE, right?

Could you configure account of any other type (e.g., IMAP4 account gmail) and get the mails for it inside N900 mail client?

I do not have the phone with me, i was setting the phone up for a client today. The emails did show after the first sync and all the contacts and calendar items were updated.

When opening the mail window again there were no new emails even though i had received emails in my outlook. The scheduler is set to always on.

I will be at the client again on Friday and will try imap4

OK. But the mail list was not empty, you were able to see the emails which you have received during initial sync, am I right?

The scheduler is set to always on.
What happens if you do manual "Send/Receive" either from mail client or from MfE Setting applet?

As you have limited access to the device it would be better to take all the MfE logs from the device during your visit (including extended).

(After the very first look into the log) - what happens if you disable calendar sync?

I believe this was the last version of it and I have not missed anything new . Could you try to sync with calendar sync turned off? What happens?

I'm aware that the N900 can't handle responding to meeting requests right now, but has anyone observed it interfering with the proper functioning of meeting requests in Outlook?

Since getting my N900, I've noticed some meeting weirdness, particularly with meeting updates; sometimes I'll just end up with two copies of the meeting on my calendar. I haven't noticed any pattern to it though, and sometimes things do work correctly, so I haven't tried to dig into it yet.

Most recently however, I had a meeting that was updated that did not require a response. Despite receiving the update, which outlook believes has been moved to a new time, the request remains unchanged at the old time. This one is much more troubling, because while I can handle some quirks in the N900's calendar, it's unacceptable for my Outlook calendar to be flat out wrong.

Edit: I don't have most of the logging enabled right now, but I do see this in the log at the time the meeting update was received:
activesync[1386]: AS-LIB: Item 5:667 update failed with status 7 in folder 5 of class 1

I've tried this a couple of times. It finishes the initializing of the synchronization, but then gets stuck at synchronizing the email's. After a few minutes it stops with a communication error.

Looked through the sqlite database; item 5:667 was the old version of the meeting; folder 5 is the deleted messages folder, so while I don't know what status 7 is, I'm guessing it has something to do with trying to delete the calendar item when the calendar item wasn't created in the first place, so that's not much help.
